Four unique styles to adorn this Navratri

05 Oct 2021 | Pallavi Dubey

Sharad Navratri, the nine splendorous and brilliant evenings, is perhaps the most anticipated Indian festival. A resonant event brimming with delightful nights, this festival is celebrated for ten days, starting with the heavenly Navratri (nine nights) and finishing with Dussehra. Sharad Navratri is a festival of dance, fun, merriments, bonhomie, and religious devotion.

Celebrate your Navratri with Dufa and take a  look  at how you can ace the Navratri look in the festive season and stay on-trend.

Look #1 -  Go traditional:
Don't forget your roots and go traditional on one of the days of Navratri by wearing an ethnic chaniya choli. You can pair it with silver ethnic handmade jewelry. There are great choices for traditional wear from local designers such as Label Purvi Zaveri and Jiyas Designer Studio by Purabi Prajapai. These local designers have some beautiful, festive, colorful and traditional handwork chaniya cholis in patchwork, kutch work, leheriya, patola and block prints.

Pair these with some traditional oxidized silver jewelry from The Jewellery Junkies by Aditi and traditional juttis from MOY Designer Juttis by Cydwel and Nidhi to complete the look.

Look #2 -  Go Bohemian

Try a new look by adding some boho vibe to your dressing. Get into a cool boho skirt and pair it up with a fancy crop top. Check out these contemporary, boho lehenga and halter top from Zyrah.  To make it festive, accessorize with some statement jewelry. Amama has some gorgeous handcrafted statement pieces which are a must have.

Look #3  - Go fusion

Take a break from your traditional wear, and embrace the fusion look. You could wear embroidered palazzos and blouses or for an out-of-the-box Indo-western look, go for a breezier dhoti inspired skirt or harem pants. You can also go for a lehenga and a shirt combo which looks super chic;  a pop of colour and some terracotta jewelry can make you stand out. Check out these fusion indo-western options from Mongoose Kart.

Team up your fusion look with some terracotta jewelry. Check out our picks from Mithra and Diva creations for some unique handmade terracotta treasures.

Look#4 – Go Minimalist

You can’t go wrong with one look and that is the minimalist look. Wear a simple solid color – white or cream chikankari or lucknowi – either a kurta or a traditional center slit Kurti teamed with pants or trousers. Offset it with a heavy dupatta or a colorful tie and dye. Check out our top picks for minimal outfits Dhaaga and Co. Chikankari and Aacho.

Add pops of colour to your outfit by opting for either colorful necklaces or eye-catching handmade danglers from Traditional Trends .
