Beginner’s guide to selling on Dufa

Welcome to Dufa! Since you are reading this article, we trust you are looking to sell on our marketplace. We are excited to have you onboard and to join our community of sellers.

This is just a quick guide to highlight what all you need be prepared with to open your shop and the basics to start selling on Dufa. We point out to tips & tricks documents here in case you want a detailed understanding on each topic.

Download & Install the Seller App

Dufa makes selling easy for our sellers so they so not have to worry about marketing their products rather they can continue to do what they love and are good at. We have created an App that is just for Sellers to onboard and manage the orders. All you need is a smart phone to install the App.

To start selling on Dufa, you need to install the ‘Sell on Dufa App on the Play store on Android phones. The App will be available on Apple App Store shortly. Install and Open the App.

 

Register and publish shop

Registration on Dufa is a simple 3 step process. To begin, click on ‘Open Shop’ on the Login Page and fill the details required.

Step1: User Profile – Add you profile picture, name, mobile number and email. An OTP verification will be sent to you at this step on the mobile number provided.

Step 2: Store Profile – Here you can add your store banner, store logo, Shop name, Shop description, Art origin and Warehouse address and number. You also have to add your GST and Company PAN number. GST is mandatory for selling online even if your turnover is less than 20 lakhs. If you do not have a GST, read the Registering for GST article to know more.

Step 3: Terms of use & Privacy – Read and accept our Seller Terms and conditions and Seller Privacy policies to complete registration.

Once you have completed registration, you can go to Store settings and Publish your shop once you are ready.

Add listings

Once you have registered, it’s time to add products to your online store. For this, you need to have pictures of your product, a title, description, detailed attributes, inventory, and pricing. Once you have added a product, you need to publish it, so it appears on the website.

Fees & Payments

Dufa charges a Subscription fee to sellers for using the platform, tools, and services. Sellers can choose from 2 plans based on their need. Subscription fee can be paid monthly or annually.

For every sale, Dufa charges a commission % which varies per the plan.

Dufa has partnered with Razorpay for the payment gateway integration which charges a 2% transaction fee for each transaction for domestic payments and 3% for internationally payments. Shipping fee is charged to sellers only if they opt to provide free shipping to the customers else the shipping fee is charged to customers.

Once a sale is made, Dufa deducts the commission, transaction, and shipping fees as applicable and pays the seller monthly.

Manage Orders

Once a sale is made, you will receive a notification as well as the order will reflect on your dashboard. Ensure you get your product ready per the stipulated timelines mentioned against the listed product. Once the item is ready, it’s the seller’s responsibility to mark the order as Ready for pickup and to schedule the pickup with our Delivery partner, Delhivery Logistics from the dashboard. Once the order is picked up, the seller needs to mark the item as Shipped so the buyer can track it.

Marketing & Promotions

Marketing is important to promote your shop. While Dufa does most of this for you, there are somethings you can do at your end to give your business the boost. Marketing helps new customers find your products and lets you existing customers know what’s new which in turn enables steady growth of your business.
