Fabnest

Fabnest is a fashion brand for the modern Indian woman. The woman, who isn’t afraid to be different whether in her lifestyle or in her opinion. The one who takes fashion in her stride, for whom dressing up each day is not a task but a celebration of who she is.  We work closely with weavers, dyers, craftsmen, and tailors to achieve our end goal – that is to create an Indian sourced product for the Indian woman. The one that connects her to her heritage and at the same time shows she has progressed with the changing times. Fabnest was born in 2017. It was a big leap for us since we had just had our twin girls had just turned 4 and starting our own venture meant putting in our savings into this business. Of course we had every possible support from our families and we continue to do so to this date. We started with buying stock fabric in order to save cost. Getting our own fabric in bulk or as per our design sensibility seemed like a distant dream then. Now after approx 4 years we are in a position to have fabric mills make our designs without having to worry about their fabric minimums. We have grown 8x in the last 4 years. We now support multiple households where the wives of the men involved in our office work from home for finishing and packing our products and make a separate independent livelihood. We are supporting them in investing in infrastructure to grow their micro ventures for Fabnest. FOUNDER DETAILS – DIVAM JAIN - After pursuing undergrad in International Fashion Business (Nottingham Trent University, U.K), Divam joined a Delhi based buying house representing an American clothing brand. Here he met Aditi who he soon proposed to be his wife. Wanting to learn further, Divam went to Milan for Masters in Luxury Fashion Business (SDA Bocconi Business School, Milan). When Divam returned in 2010 fashion e-commerce was at a very nascent stage in India. His knowledge and experience got him involved with various upcoming and successful fashion e-commerce start-ups before he decided on taking the entrepreneurial route in 2017.   ADITI SWARUP JAIN - After getting a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Production Management from the prestigious Pearl, Aditi worked with various Fashion organisations such as Triburg, J.C Penny, J.Jill and British luxury retailer All Saints. Her job responsibilities were across the spectrum from planning to development. Aditi also helped a couple of American start-ups manage manufacturing operations here in India. Aditi has been heading the product development and design at Fabnest since its inception in 2017.
